15 Buildings on Jalan Mangga Besar IVE Demolished

As many as 15 permanent buildings standing on water channel and green belt at Jalan Mangga Besar IVE, Complex 38, Taman Sari, West Jakarta, demolished, Friday (9/18).

"Those buildings had been established over ten years," said Head of Taman Sari Sub-District, Paris Limbong.

Initially, Limbong told, those buildings would be demolished prior to Idul Fitri, but it was postponed.

" After Idul Fitri, we’re waiting for the residents to demolish their own buildings, but they did not do it until joint officers themselves who do it ," he expressed.

According to him, the local resident has refused the demolishment with various excuses. "There will be no compensation or relocation for the resident who build building on the water channel. The channel then will be normalized thus flood would not happen again," he uttered.
